Sometimes you need to change the product, so you can now switch an application to a different product any time before completion, subject to underwriting assessment.
Need to switch the product before completion?
Pre-offer
Pre-offer, you can change the product on an application, subject to underwriting, without paying a fee.
Just email us the account name (or Limited Co name) and the application reference number and confirm the changes you would like to make, to our pre-offer underwriting team at mortgages@birminghambank.com
Post-offer
If your clients' application is post-offer but pre-completion, you can now switch to a different product subject to underwriting assessment and a £175 fee.
Please email us the application name or Limited Co name as per the offer - and the case reference number and confirm the product to which you would like to switch, to productswitch@birminghambank.com
Unfortunately, if the Certificate of Title has been received, then the Bank will not be able to process a product switch.
To pay the fee
There is no charge if the case is pre-offer.
However, if the case is post-offer, there is a £175 fee for us to process a product change to re-offer.
Please instruct your client to make the payment to:
